The role

One of the main duties that a Store Person is responsible for, is keeping track of what is available in inventory. You must monitor current stock levels to decide if more should be ordered with guidance from the operational team and effective use of the computerized stock system. Organisation of the existing inventory is essential for efficiency and mitigating delays, therefore it is incumbent on you to keep all inventory easily and safely accessible and the store area in impeccable condition.

You will be responsible for monitoring which project the inventory is going to, providing an inventory list for all items leaving the stores so the recipient signs to confirm receipt.

You will ensure that none of the security systems are compromised (e.g. CCTV, alarm sensors etc.) and that they remain fully operational within the stores area, notifying the appropriate manager should remedial works be required to address any issues.

You will enforce and maintain the Company’s safety standards and follow the emergency procedures, escalating where processes have not been followed.

You will complete a 6-monthly stock take and report accordingly.

You will monitor the Company’s plant and track servicing and calibration requirements in a timely fashion (giving consideration to operational activities), organising replacements whilst servicing/calibration is being carried out, if required.
